Responsibilities:
- Understand deeply system level application needs and end-usage of responsible products(IGBT, MOSFETs, IPM, IC, power modules, etc)
- Support market and competitor benchmarking
- Support new product development from concept definition to mass production:
- Define the product technical specification which reflects the customer needs, application and technical trends
- Definition and realization of application test / demo boards to evaluate new products in target applications
- Create internal and external technical documents, e.g. datasheet, fighting guides, application notes, technical training, etc.
- Train colleagues and distribution partners on your products and applications
- Support customers by creating application tools like demo boards, application notes, hardware and software tools. Solve technical issues for customers. Be able to communicate with customer and understand customer issues.
- Final owner of technical issues for the assigned products
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, physics or related field
- 6+ years' experience in Application Engineering, System Engineering, Concept Engineering, Technical Marketing or Product Development within the power semiconductor industry or related field
- Strong hands on experience in circuit design (schematic design and PCB layout), test and troubleshoot. Ability to execute design, simulation, thermal and design verification plans for switched-mode power supply, motor drives, inverters or other applications
- In-depth understanding of semiconductor devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs, power modules, ICs, Diodes, Transistors, etc.) is a big plus
- A strong customer focus: You are committed to create added value by deeply understanding customers' applications
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills in English
