Responsibilities
In-depth study of available fab floor space to support Capacity expansion plan with minimum CAPEX. This may involve relocating existing tools or converting some building areas.
Work closely with Mfg & module to identify the optimum tool location that balances the Operational efficiency, technical requirements, cost & space utilization.
Ensure on-time layout readiness for tools move-in to meet the capacity ramp plan.
Manage the cycle-time for PRs to ensure on-time tools delivery to meet the tool required date.
Assess the floor space requirement & layout planning for various scenario study
Ensure a good Fab floor space management, such as Fab floor space is cleared out of any excess or obsolete tools.
Provide regular reporting of the tool move-in, layout readiness & PR/PO status to the relevant parties such as Modules, Mfg, Facilites, SMO, Finance & IE.
Guide & train less experienced Engrs
 
Requirements
Preferably Bachelor or Masters in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Science. Other Engineering discipline will also be considered
Degree with minimum 4 years relevant experience or Diploma with minimum 6 years relevant experience
Understanding of layout optimization is advantageous
Ability to guide & train less experienced Engineers
Good communication skills and adaptable to changes
